Data showing increased sensitivity due to mixing

Data Courtesy of: The Analytical Chemistry article, Gains in sensitivity with a device that mixes microarray hybridization solution in a 25-um-thick chamber. Anal. Chem. 74: 6413-6417.

Mixing of the hybridization solution significantly improves sensitivity from low abundance labeled targets. The following quantity of labeled bacteriophage lambda PCR product targets were used (fMol/slide): A = 22, B = 1.1, C = 0.10, D = 0.0094. Every microarray spot contained approximately 0.1 fMol (100 aMol) probe. Error bar represents one standard deviation of 22 identical microarray spots.
