Universal Linkage System (ULS): A versatile non-enzymatic labeling technology -
|

The proprietary ULS™ technology provides the basis for KREATECH's broad range of labeling applications. ULS labeling is based on the stable coordinative binding properties of platinum to nucleic acids and proteins. The ULS molecule consists of a monofunctional platinum complex coupled to any detectable molecule of choice. ULS forms a coordinative bond, firmly coupling the ULS to the target. ULS labels DNA and RNA by binding to the N7 position of guanine. In proteins, ULS binds to sulfur-containing side chains of Methionine, Cysteine and a nitrogen atom in Histidine.
ULS is available coupled to a variety of labels and haptens, including fluorochromes, biotin and dinitrophenol. The labeling reaction allows a wide range of conditions and produces a highly stable bond. |

KREATECH's robust protocol produces fluorescently labeled genomic DNA within 30 minutes and includes a choice of dye labels. Since labeling efficiency is independent of DNA fragment length, ULS is ideal for labeling of highly fragmented archival (FFPE) DNA. The Genome-pULSe Kit offers a novel procedure that allows the uniform amplification and subsequent direct labeling of whole genome DNA from small samples. This method has been designed to provide a quick and highly reproducible amplification and labeling procedure for arrayCGH analysis. The Genome-pULSe Kit consists of a Whole Genome Amplification module and a ULS Labeling Kit module. All ULS kits for arrayCGH analysis contain KREApure purification columns and KREAblock to ensure efficient purification and low background. |

Proteomics is becoming increasingly important in drug development, as well as in basic research and diagnostics. KREATECH has two different product lines for protein labeling. The PlatinumLink kits for labeling of antibodies and recombinant proteins and the ULS Labeling and Fluorescent Detection Kits for labeling of complex samples (serum, plasma and cell lysates) to be detected on antibody/protein microarrays. The kits provide a robust method labeling of recombinant proteins and antibodies to be used for various downstream applications such as IHC and Western Blotting. We also offer a range of protein blocking buffers and washing buffers. |

These antibodies have been validated for their use as a detection reagent for fluorochrome labeled proteins or nucleic acids.
